Irena and I closed out 2025 and began 2026 by taking a cruise on the Norwegian Bliss from the Port of Los Angeles to Puerto Vallarta, stopping at Cabo San Lucas at the tip of the Baja Peninsula and Mazatlan along the way. We’d both been to Mexico several times before, and Irena had taken this same cruise years ago with her sister. Still, we delighted in the sunny and warm weather of tropical Mexico after having braved a snowy and icy Donner Pass on I-80 west of Reno the week before.
